The Baltimore Washington Area Worldcon Association has hosted numerous events starting with Bucconeer.

In 2014, BWAWA hosted the 40th World Fantasy Convention.

In 2012 BWAWA hosted the Nebula Awards Weekend for the Science Fiction Writers of America in Washington DC.

IN 2011 BWAWA hosted the Nebula Awards Weekend for the Science Fiction Writers of America in Crystal City Virginia.

BWAWA has also bid for a couple of events which were won by other groups. DC17 lost to Helsinki and ConCarolina won the right to host the 2019 DSC.
